Southern University baseball prepares for pivotal matchup with Grambling State
BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) — The Bayou Classic on the diamond comes to the Bluff at a pivotal point for Southern, the weekend before the SWAC Tournament. The Jaguars (15-11 in conference play) are currently the fourth seed out of the SWAC West and play host to the second seeded Grambling State (17-8). With a sweep of Grambling, and a bit of help from Alcorn State (6-21) against Prairie View A&M (15-9), there is an opportunity for Southern to move into second place.
Union Parish family claims a Wisconsin medium led them to their missing mother’s body
UNION PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Desperate for answers, two sisters turned to a medium in Wisconsin who they claim led them directly to their missing mothers body. Theresa Jones was reported missing on February 2, 2023. She was 56 years old living in Bernice, right outside of Farmerville. She was a loving mother of three and a grandmother of seven.

GRAMBLING, La. (KSLA) — Hundreds of students celebrated earning their degrees and graduated from Grambling State University this spring. Keynote speaker for the spring graduation ceremony Friday (May 11) in the Frederick C. Hobdy Assembly Center was state Sen. Cleo Fields, who represents Louisiana’s 14th District. He also has made public his plans to run for the 6th Congressional District seat that’s at the center of a legal dispute over Louisiana’s congressional map.
