Showers for Sunday
A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Polk, San Jacinto and Liberty counties until 7pm, with the expectation that unsettled atmospheric conditions are conducive for possible development. We’ve been seeing strong thunderstorms in the Montgomery County area this afternoon with hail and strong gusts. The Tornado warning is for the rest of this afternoon as warm moist air continues moving northing and interacting with the cooler drier air. Our region is the farthest part of the Storm Prediction Center’s Severe threat area that stretches more than a thousand miles to the east coast.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR
What’s Really Going On Inside The Liberty County Elections Office. The Office of Election Administrator has been the talk of news stories across our state. In some counties, the entire office seems to be corrupt; there are others, in which the opposite seems true and dirty politics seem to try to overtake. We must all take initiative and follow the trail to determine the truth for ourselves. There is but one Truth, “ The love of money is the root of ALL evil” Since our EAs arrest in December, our office has been under constant attack by dirty county politics. We seem to have been fighting off some in our county leadership who want to see this office fail. They seem to dislike how well Klint and our team did their job and our loyalty to this county. Anyone associated with Klint Bush, it seems, is seen as a threat to the status quo by some within political leadership. They have gleefully jumped on the chance to use unrelated drama to destroy the good work we have done for the voters of Liberty County. I can be silent no longer.
