Ramsey’s Diner opening new store on Leestown Road, closing Tates Creek location

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — After 32 years on Tates Creek Road, Ramsey’s Diner will be moving to a new location on Leestown Road near Masterson Station in August.

Ramsey’s has been serving southern favorites for over 30 years in four locations across Lexington.

Rob Ramsey, the owner of Ramsey’s Diner, took to social media to announce the move.

“I wish to thank everyone for a great 32 years at Tates Creek, especially the thousands of incredible employees I have had the honor to work with at this store. I certainly also wish to express my appreciation to all my customers, past, present, and going forward in this next step,” writes Ramsey.

MORE KENTUCKY NEWS:

Fresh off being named the best locally-owned restaurant in Kentucky by Southern Living, Ramsey’s Diner is looking to expand its reach with a new 5500-square-foot store.

Ramsey told FOX 56 the new store is opening due to the business liabilities at the Tates Creek location making the new lease expensive.

He said the store will be the “culmination of my 34 years of being in Lexington and running Ramsey’s store all-in-one.”

The new location will be nearly twice as large as the Tates Creek location and feature drive-thru windows.
