LC State's Jennah Carpenter Wins High Jump at NAIA Nationals

LEWISTON, ID- LC State sophomore Jennah Carpenter made history, becoming the first woman to ever secure a national title in indoor track and field. Carpenter set a program best 1.73 meters in the high jump.

I asked the Lewiston native, who went to Lewiston high school, on what it means to her to be an NAIA National Champion, and as a local athlete bringing home a title to LC State.
"It just means so much," Carpenter said. "I'm just grateful for the opportunity to stay here, the opportunity the coaches have given me to do track here, and everyone from middle school to high school that has helped me get to this point means a lot."
