LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) — Three men are facing charges following the discovery of drugs in two Logan County homes earlier this week.

The South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force said its agents, along with members of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, served two separate search warrants in Logan County on Tuesday, April 9.

According to officials, one of the warrants was served at 59-year-old Timothy Anderson’s residence in the 700 block of Lewisburg Edwards Road in Russellville. Law enforcement reportedly found crystal meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, several types of pills that have yet to be identified, and a substantial amount of cash.

The South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force shared a message from its director, Jacky Hunt, in a statement on Thursday, April 11:

Our Detectives are working really hard to combat the surge of Meth and Fentanyl that has come into our area. I worry every day that our funding and our budget will be overwhelmed by the amount of work that goes into properly combating the Drug problem in our area. Director Hunt stated that the cost of doing our business has risen sharply in recent years but his budget has not keep up with it. He urges citizens reach out to their local State Congressman or State Senator and let them know how much they care about the Drug problem in our area.
