Overnight delays coming to SH-16 Tuesday for overpass bridge girder installation
EMMETT, Idaho (CBS2) — Drivers on State Highway 16 should plan for significant overnight delays Tuesday as crews install bridge supports for a future overpass. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and periodically stopped in both directions on SH-16 between Deep Canyon Drive and Valnova Drive from 8 p.m. Sept. 29 to 5 a.m. Sept. 30. The work is permitted by the Idaho Transportation Department.

10th Avenue and I-84 ramps to close overnight starting Wednesday
CALDWELL — The Idaho Transportation Department announced that it will close 10th Avenue underneath Interstate 84 in Caldwell for three nights as it moves closer to construction completion in the area. By next Tuesday morning, Sept. 29, 10th Avenue will have two lanes in each direction, a center turn lane and a new driving surface for motorists, according to ITD engineer Styles Salek. The underpass will close on Wednesday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. along with the 10th Avenue eastbound on- and-off ramps. It will be closed at the same time on Thursday, but instead with the westbound on- and-off ramps being closed. Then just the underpass will be closed for an extra four hours the following night, closing again at 10 p.m. on Friday and remaining closed until 10 a.m. on Saturday. Motorists will need to detour to Centennial Way during the three-night closures. The closures come as ITD moves closer to completing the nearly three-year construction project in the area.
