Firearm Violation: On Thursday, April 11, 2024 Tpr. Miller conducted a traffic stop on a Honda Civic with expired registration in addition to motor vehicle alterations that deemed the vehicle unsafe to drive. The driver was identified as Jefferson Peralta, a 27 year-old-male of Williamsburg, VA. Peralta opened his glove box in search of his registration and a 9mm handgun was observed. After contacting the Maryland State Police Gun Center it was determined Peralta did not possess a Maryland concealed weapons permit. It was also learned that Peralta’s registration came back for another car. Peralta was placed under arrest and charged accordingly.
