EVANSTON, Ill. (WANE) – For the second week in a row Leo High School graduate Ashley Miller has been honored by the Big Ten, as Miller has been tabbed the conference’s “Pitcher of the Week.”

Miller went 3-0 last week over four appearances, pitching 18.2 scoreless innings.

The righty, who played her first three years of college softball at Michigan State before transferring to Northwestern this past off-season, is 16-4 on the season with a 1.14 ERA.

Her ERA leads the Big Ten while her 155 strikeouts are second among the conference’s pitchers. She also is tied for the Big Ten lead with four saves.

Northwestern is 29-9 overall and 15-2 in the Big Ten, as the Wildcats currently sit atop the conference standings.
