Police ID driver who ignored crossing arm, struck and killed by train
KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal crash in Kansas City have identified the driver as 40-year-old Richard T. Buford. Just before 8a.m. Friday, a Jaguar S-type driven by Buford was northbound on Holmes at 133rd where it traveled around the lowered train warning arms, ignoring the warning lights and audible signals, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.

The Overland Park Police Department tells KCTV5 News that around 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, emergency crews were called to the area of 151st and Kenneth Rd. with reports of a train collision.
