I-78 ramp reopens after water tanker truck overturned

A water tanker truck overturned onto its side along a ramp from Interstate 78 on Thursday evening in Lehigh County.

It occurred shortly before 7 p.m. in a grassy section off the ramp from I-78 East to Route 100 South in Upper Macungie Township.

Pennsylvania State Police identified the type of tanker involved and said to expect intermittent closures of the ramp Thursday evening, before declaring the ramp reopened as of about 9:30 p.m.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries.
