‘Armed and dangerous,’ body armor-wearing man captured in Lee County, authorities say

A man wearing body armor that authorities characterized as being “armed and dangerous” has been captured in Lee County.

Michael Shane Bodine Green is in custody, according to the Lee County Emergency Management Agency, which posted an alert Wednesday night about Green after he reportedly pulled a gun on a family in Smiths Station.

On Thursday afternoon, the agency said Green was captured.

There are no records for Green in the Lee County Jail, and authorities did not say when he was captured or what charges have been filed against him.
