Titans continue season with MRC conference showdown

The Tri-City United golfers competed a busy week of action Tuesday evening with the boys and girls teams each battling in conference matchups. The boys traveled to Le Sueur Country Club and earned second place on the day with a score of 194 while the girls hosted at Montgomery National Golf Club, finishing third with a round of 241.

The Titans boys squad was led by Eian O’Keefe who finished the nine-hole event with a round of 46, finishing tied for fifth overall. Carter Beulke finished tied for eighth with a round of 47 while Trenton Pelowski earned 10th with a round of 50.

Jacob Neubauer rounded out the team scorers for TCU with a round of 51 with Gavin Blaschko (57) and Tyler Gogerty (60) competing as well.

The girls were led by Neysa Anderson with a round of 57 to finish 11th overall while Morgan Gjerstad finished 12th with a round of 60. Lily Kaplan posted a round of 61 while Avery Kes rounded out the team scoring with a score of 63.

Payton Huffman also competed for the Titans, finishing the day with a round of 64.

The TCU golf team will return to action Friday, April 26, when the squad travels to New Prague. The boys will compete at the New Prague GC while the girls will play at Creek’s Bend GC with both events scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
