June 5, 2023 - Merced County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Saturday night, Deputies responded to a report of a stabbing in the 10300 block of Hyde Street in Le Grand. Deputies arrived on scene and determined that one person was suffering from stab wounds. Detectives learned that a fight broke out, and the victim was stabbed when he attempted to intervene.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Our Investigations Bureau is currently investigating this incident.
