Neighbors of Hill Air Force Base desperate for solutions to destructive jet noise
LAYTON, Utah (KUTV) — A new military style jet in use at Hill Air Force Base is causing dangerously loud noise levels according to the residents that live nearby. Residents in Layton have formed a group called Safe Skies Utah to find a collaborative solution for the sound after they claim the city and base have ignored their concerns, despite having conducted a study to address them.
Bountiful man charged with manslaughter in fatal shooting of high school friend
BOUNTIFUL — A fatal shooting in Bountiful involving two high school friends appears to have been an accident, police say. Yet Dylan Francis Goodin, 21, of Bountiful, was still charged Tuesday in 2nd District Court with manslaughter, a second-degree felony; possession of a weapon by a restricted person, a third-degree felony; drug possession, a class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor.
