First Alert Chief Meteorologist Lexie Walker speaks at AMBUCS

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - The Lawton AMBUCS chapter met for their weekly meeting on Thursday, March 23, where they host guest speakers each week to discuss various topics.

Because it is storm season, First Alert Chief Meteorologist Lexie Walker was the esteemed guest.

She spoke about the adverse weather we’re experiencing today, what to look forward to from the rest of the storm season, and went more in-depth about her everyday duties.

“It’s always interesting because we see what goes on on camera, but that’s only just a small portion of what actually goes on with what they do behind the scenes and getting ready to do those forecasts every day,” said Larry Holcomb, the marketing director for the Lawton AMBUCS.

Holcomb said at the meeting that this weekend, like most weekends, they’ll be taking the time to install wheelchair ramps for those who need them.
