Lawton’s municipal swimming pool will open at noon Saturday for the summer season. The opening will depend on weather conditions, City of Lawton officials said. The pool will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, free of charge following action earlier this spring by the City Council.

Recently, Sterling hosted the 71st Night Relays track meet. Sterling High School first hosted this meet in 1950. Due to COVID protocols, two of the recent meets were canceled. In past years, girls were not allowed to compete with the boys in the night relays. There was a girls night relay made and eventually that was removed and girls and boys now compete in Sterling’s Night Relays.

The Central Girls Basketball Camp for Girls Grades 3 – 8 will be July 17-19 from 1:00-4:00 in the main gym at Central High School. The cost is $30 if you register by June 17th and $35 dollars after June 17th. The registration form is in the link below.
