Lawson Man Seriously Injured In Early Morning Accident Involving A Horse

 

A Lawson man was left with serious injuries after his vehicle hit a horse in the roadway early this (Tuesday) morning in Clay County.

According to Troop A of the Highway Patrol, 56-year-old Curtis C. Trawick was northbound on U.S. 69 Highway south of Robyn Lane, just north of Excelsior Springs, when his 2002 Acura struck a horse that was in the roadway.

Following the impact the Acura went off the right side of the highway and overturned.

Trawick was wearing a seat belt at the time but still suffered serious injuries. He was taken by Life Flight air ambulance to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of his injuries.
