Johns Creek orchestra to bid farewell to late founder, maestro with concert
JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra will perform “Celebrating the Maestro” May 4, a concert in memory of late founder and maestro J. Wayne Baughman. The program was hand-picked by Baughman before his death in November after a battle with pancreatic cancer. It will feature some of his favorites over the past 18 years, since the nonprofit’s founding, and solos from his two daughters — violinist and JCSO concertmaster Adelaide Federici and Singing Sergeants soprano Katie Edelman.
