Traffic stop in Laurel leads to seizure of 9mm handgun, drugs

LAUREL, MD – Police have arrested two men after they found drugs and gun during a routine traffic stop in Laurel on Wednesday.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a gold Chevrolet on Laurel Fort Meade Road near Russet Green East in Laurel.

“Upon speaking with the occupants, probable cause was developed to search the vehicle resulting in the seizure of a loaded 9mm handgun, approximately 18 grams of suspected MDMA, approximately 291 grams of suspected marijuana, and a digital scale,” the Anne Arundel Police Department reported.


Police arrested Steven Jamal Clements, 35, and Dion Jamaar Frisoen, both of Baltimore.
