A little after 10 p.m., Lauderhill police officers responded to multiple 911 calls and an alert about shots fired in the 2200 Block of Northwest 59th Terrace, according to William Gordon, a spokesperson for the police department.
When they arrived, they found a man with several gunshot wounds, lying next to a vehicle. He was taken to Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale as a trauma alert, where he was pronounced dead.
“Unknown persons” dropped a second victim off at the Emergency Room of Florida Medical Center in Lauderdale Lakes, Gordon said. He was transferred to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, where his condition is “unknown” as of late Wednesday morning.
Police secured the scene and detectives are investigating.
“The investigation is in the preliminary stages and information provided is subject to change,” Gordon said.
