Legendary pro wrestling commentator Jim Ross will miss this weekend’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event. Ross, 72, was hospitalized this week and will not make the trip to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ross revealed on X on Thursday evening that he took an “abrupt trip” to the emergency room out in Norman, Oklahoma, and cited shortness of breath as the cause.

Later, Ross emerged again with a post from his hospital bed with his children beside him.

It’s good to see that Ross is seemingly up and capable of sharing the news with his fans. He’s spoken recently that he doesn’t believe he has much left in him . However, an incident like this emerging is troubling.

Still, it’s good to see he’s alright right now and appears to be in great spirits.

AEW Double or Nothing will take place on Sunday, May 26, from Las Vegas, Nevada, and can be purchased on pay-per-view. It’s the sixth edition of Double or Nothing , this weekend is the company’s fifth anniversary of its inaugural DoN event on May 25, 2019. The show will be headlined by AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, who will wrestle Christian Cage. Additionally, Mercedes Mone will wrestle Willow Nightengale for the TBS Championship, and an Anarchy in the Arena match will take place between The Elite and Team AEW.
