A local teen has been arrested after police say he battered a man with a baseball bat outside an apartment on the northeast side of town.
Brandon Carbajal was arrested on April 8 and is being charged with attempted murder following the incident that took place on April 6.
Officers were called out to a Rainbow Market, located on E Lake Mead Blvd, following reports of an unconscious man on the ground covered in blood.
The unidentified man would later be located and transported to the hospital, where staff said he suffered a skull fracture and brain bleed. His eyes were also swollen shut and he had large lacerations on his face.
Detectives were not able to speak with him until the following day, April 7, due to him being heavily medicated.
During the interview, he told authorities that he was supposed to meet up with his ex-girlfriend near Lake Mead and Walnut on April 6 but when she didn't show up, he walked to his friend's apartment instead.
He told police he remembers walking into the apartment and began speaking to the "owner," and that was all he could remember before walking to the nearby Rainbow Market and passing out.

Officers say the "owner" was identified as Alan Ledesma, who lives with his girlfriend, Jennifer "Bambi" Bushnell, her juvenile daughter, and the daughter's boyfriend, later identified as Brandon Carbajal.
During an interview with Bushnell, she told detectives that the victim had come to the apartment unannounced on April 6.
She claims that he had recently stolen $100 from them and told the victim that if he wasn't there to return the money he needed to leave. That's when Brandon came from his bedroom with a baseball bat and began beating the man.
Bushnell says she was unsure how many times Brandon had struck the victim but said they had a hard time pulling him off because of the size difference (Brandon is listed as 6 foot, around 300 pounds while the victim is around 5'9, 135 pounds).
Brandon would later be taken in for questioning. He denied any involvement in the incident and refused to answer any questions while smirking at detectives.
Authorities would later recover the baseball bat inside Brandon's room, along with other evidence.
He was placed under arrest and transported to Clark County Juvenile Hall.
