Though the Vegas Test Kitchen is closing this week, a new opportunity will await chefs and restauranteurs.
Dapper Companies announced that Jolene Mannina, the Test Kitchen's owner, will open a new space called Paladare in the Maohoney's building on Maryland Parkway and Bonneville Avenue, near the Huntridge Theater.
Paladare will provide kitchens for new and emerging chefs to test concepts, launch restaurants and expand pre-existing businesses.
It will feature four fully equipped commercial kitchens, with the goal of offering a supportive community for chefs.
Mannina says the name comes from the underground restaurants opened during the Cuban Revolution.
"With Paladare, we will continue to provide the many resources restaurant owners and future restaurant owners need to be successful in their businesses," J Dapper said in a statement.
Vegas Test Kitchen is scheduled to close on Saturday, June 3. The eatery opened during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide local chefs the platform to test their culinary concepts.
