The man who caused the full shutdown of Interstate 15 for about an hour on Sunday was armed with a pellet airgun, according to an arrest report.
Tyson Farkas, 28, was taken into custody after allegedly waving a firearm at several passing cars on the freeway, per Las Vegas Metropolitan Police records.
In their arrest report, LVMPD said they got a report that Farkas allegedly pointed a gun twice at a building near Symphony Park, then walked to the I-15 underpass and began waving the gun in the air.
Officers responded and found Farkas hiding under the freeway near the Spaghetti Bowl. He was naked when taken into custody, police wrote, leading to a charge of indecent exposure.
After the arrest, police wrote that they found near the support beam a Black Baretta 92 FS CO2 handgun, a type of air pellet pistol.
Farkas made his first court appearance on Monday, where a judge appointed a public defender to represent him. His next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
