Donovan wanted his wish to leave a mark.

After being diagnosed with Lymphoma, the teenager – who is quiet but enjoys showing his individuality through his clothes and hairstyles – decided he wanted a tattoo.

Between his diagnosis and the start of chemotherapy, Donavan's life was a whirlwind of appointments, tests, bone marrow biopsies, and surgery. After six months of chemo, his energy was zapped, but he had entered remission!

This began a new journey for Donovan and he looked forward to the hope of a heartfelt wish come true.

For his tattoo design, Donovan selected a tree with deep roots to represent growth and change throughout his journey. He equated it to a “tree of life.”

In addition to this new ink, Donovan also has a lily tattoo on his wrist in honor of his mother’s favorite flower.
