Armed person causes Las Vegas police to shut down I-15

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department took a suspect into custody after they were seen waving around a firearm.

On Sunday, at about 3:35 p.m., LVMPD responded to reports of a subject brandishing a firearm in the 200 Block of South Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers set up containment on the subject's location in the area of Symphony Park and I-15.
According to police, as a precaution, traffic on I-15 was temporarily halted in both directions.
LVMPD said the subject was taken into custody without incident, and I-15 reopened shortly after.
