The LVMPD Wellness Bureau and Police Employee Assistance Program teamed up to host a retiree breakfast at police headquarters on Friday.
About 250 retired department members spent time with current officers and Sheriff Kevin McMahill.
Las Vegas Metro Police Managers, Supervisors Association, and retired Police Officer Tony Muños donated breakfast from his restaurant 911 Taco Bar.
Each new LVMPD member was assigned a personnel number, counting a total of 20,000 employees.
The retiree that served the longest was 40 years.
The event aims to make long-lasting connections between past and present law enforcement.
