If you've lived in Southern California, you've probably compared our weather lately to those days when the marine layer would roll in off the coast.
But if you're from the Pacific Northwest, this weather is doing a role reversal.
Cities in the Pacific Northwest like Portland and Seattle seem to be enjoying weather as nice or better than Las Vegas.
In fact, our colleagues there say they're enjoying the nicest weather they had in weeks.
However, when we get this type of weather in Southern Nevada, Dr. Daliah Wachs says you can get a little down.
"We do see a lot of mood swings when the weather is like this. Whether it's a seasonal affective disorder, allergies, or it's lack of sleep", she says.
In some cases, it can add up.
If you're experiencing Seasonal Affective Disorder, help is out there.
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, there are treatments for people with "SAD."
First is light therapy, which exposes people to bright light--essentially mimicking the effects of sunlight.
People can also take Vitamin D, which the body creates from sunlight on the skin.
You can also seek treatment from a therapist.
A therapist may also prescribe medications commonly used to treat depression.
These treatments can be used alone or together.
Don't worry Las Vegas, the sunshine is coming. Just have to wait a little longer.
