An annual event benefitting a local nonprofit is back in Las Vegas this April.
Family to Family Connection, a local nonprofit organization that provides resources to families in Nevada through parent education and early childhood development classes, has announced its 17th annual Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grass at Downtown Summerlin.
The event, which allows children of all ages to climb aboard and learn about their favorite vehicles and how they serve the local community, has become one of the community’s top family events over the years.
The hands-on experience will offer access to more than 60 vehicles, including fire engines, construction trucks, police cars, and school buses, also allowing those sensitive to loud noise to get in on the fun with a horn-free hour from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

“It is essential that the Las Vegas community has access to events like Touch-A-Truck,” said Touch-A-Truck Chair Carolyn Wheeler.
“We strive to provide the best possible opportunities for children to improve their sensory skills, work on their physical and emotional development, make new memories, and most importantly, have fun!”
Tickets for the event can be purchased for $8 or $12 at the door, with all proceeds benefitting Family to Family Connection. Children under two are free.
