Students build dog houses for local shelters

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
Local students are going hands-on to help animals in need throughout the valley.

GC Garcia and Grand Canyon Development Partners are supplying materials to build 15 dog houses for local animal shelters.
East Career & Technical Academy students are kicking off the construction program to provide homes for local dogs.
Company representatives Melissa Eure and Vincent Tatum joined students on Thursday to assist in the building process.
Students learned about careers in the construction industry and the details of the building process.
The dog houses will be donated to local animal shelters to give to owners and auction off to raise funds.
