DraftKings, the sportsbook and daily fantasy operator, has opened a new technology hub in Las Vegas, its second-largest office in the U.S.
The company held a ceremonial ribbon-cutting Wednesday to celebrate the 90,000-square-foot facility, which is located at the UnCommons mixed-use district in the southwest valley.
Spokespeople say there will be more than 1,000 employees at the workplace, which will take up much of an entire building.
"Together with UnCommons, we’ve successfully created a world-class workplace environment," Graham Walters, chief people officer for DraftKings, said in a statement.
The office features more than 130 dedicated sports trading desks surrounded by multimedia walls in a stadium seating environment. There's also a fully stocked cafeteria and event space, a custom casino training pit, an interactive putt-view putting green and amenity spaces for employees.
It's part of DraftKings' expanding presence in Las Vegas. The company is currently the primary sponsor for UNLV's Center for Gaming Innovation.
Ironically, betting with DraftKings is unavailable in Nevada, as the company is not licensed to operate a sportsbook in the state.
