A deadly rollover crash shut down a portion of a south Las Vegas valley freeway Tuesday morning.
The collision was reported just after 4 a.m. on the southern 215 Beltway eastbound, just west of Decatur Boulevard, according to Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol.
Upon arrival, it was determined that a silver Toyota Tacoma was traveling eastbound on 215, just west of the south Decatur Boulevard off-ramp, in the far right travel lane.
Police said the driver of the vehicle was traveling too fast for the conditions on the wet roadway causing the vehicle to rotate clockwise into the right side shoulder, where it overturned.
Two men were onboard the vehicle.
Officials said the passenger was transported to UMC with moderate injuries. The driver Kevin Gardner Rose, 56, succumbed to his injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.
It's one of the multiple collisions that have been reported on Las Vegas valley freeways as rain moves through the region on Tuesday.
