Man killed after roll-over crash in northwest Las Vegas valley, police say

UPDATE: Investigators have identified the man killed in Monday’s crash as Raymond Scott Moshy, 59, of Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 59-year-old man has died following a roll-over crash in the northwest Las Vegas valley.

It happened on Monday around 4:30 p.m. at Alta and Buffalo drives.

Police stated that the deadly crash involved a single vehicle.

Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated that a 2003 Honda CRV traveled
northbound on South Buffalo Drive, south of Alta Drive. The Honda left the roadway to the right for unknown reasons, where it struck the curb, a light pole, and several large landscaping rocks

The driver was then thrown from the car and pronounced dead by paramedics.

The driver’s death marks the 24th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police
Department’s jurisdiction for 2023.

No other details were released.
