Lowe (knee) has fully recovered and doesn't expect to be limited in his winter workouts, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Lowe was placed on the 10-day injured list at the end of the 2023 campaign after suffering a fractured right patella, but the injury won't alter his offseason program much. The Maryland product should report to spring training with a clean bill of health.

Editor's note: This article initially ran on the LPGA Tour's website. To see the full article click here. It won’t be the first time. For as unique as the Grant Thornton format is to those playing, this isn’t the first time that pros from both tours have competed as teammates.

John Romano: Good grief, are we now having a petty argument over the St. Pete Rays?
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The argument about where to build a new baseball stadium was long, often feisty, but clearly necessary. The negotiations about cost, revenues, infrastructure, real estate, amenities, history, housing and all the other details that creep up in a project of this size were extensive and, presumably, contentious but also critical to reaching a satisfactory conclusion.

Column: Stop megahotel expansion in St. Pete Beach
I was surprised and disappointed to read the editorial by former St. Petersburg mayor Rick Baker in which he pushed for the Rays to be rebranded when they move into their new ballpark. He wants the team to be renamed the St. Petersburg Rays. He reasons that because St. Petersburg is coughing up the cash to build the new stadium, St. Pete should get the branding rights as well. This is a really bad plan.

What it is like at St. Pete’s Derby Lane, 3 years after greyhound racing ended?
ST. PETERSBURG — Just a few years shy of its 100th birthday, Derby Lane still looks like its old self. The grandstands at the longest continually operating greyhound race track in the country are empty and quiet. The tote board no longer displays racing odds in lights and is neatly boarded up since voters outlawed greyhound racing. They held their last race on Dec. 27, 2020.
