Mar Bella Boqueria and Framebridge
Hello my fellow foodies and welcome back. Over the years, my husband/photographer has taken some pretty amazing pictures of our culinary adventures. I decided it was time to frame some of these beauties and hang them on our walls in the house. We decided to take a trip down to Cherry Creek to spend an afternoon framing at the new Framebridge store in Cherry Creek and then have dinner at Mar Bella Boqueria. They are both next to each other, so it seemed like a great way to spend a beautiful day in Denver.

LoHi Patio Hotspot Recess Beer Garden Bets Big On Virginia Village
Recess Beer Garden, the LoHi open-air patio that packs in big crowds and smashburger fans, is heading east with a second Denver location set for Virginia Village this fall. The group has lined up a spot in a redeveloped strip center and is planning another patio-heavy build-out, aiming to bring the LoHi energy into a more low-key neighborhood setting. CEO Jason Romero said the team will put roughly $1 million into construction and is betting that a roomy outdoor hangout will change how Virginia Village eats and drinks after years of relatively little retail churn.

Vaultaire Turns Down The Noise At South Broadway’s New Basement HiFi Bar
South Broadway just picked up a quieter kind of nightlife. Vaultaire, a subterranean HiFi listening bar, opens Thursday beneath La Forêt, trading rowdy tavern energy for candlelight, records and slow-sip cocktails. The underground spot pairs an analog record setup with French-inspired small plates and a deep bench of vintage...

Downtown Tasting-Menu Spot Shutters Four Months After Reopening
There was a lot of hype when chef Brian de Souza and his wife, Syd Younggreen, reopened the Guest at 1432 Market Street in October. The intimate restaurant-within-a-restaurant-turned-event-space had made a comeback with a high-end, eleven-course tasting menu that was all over Instagram feeds after an influencer-heavy rollout of the refreshed concept, which quickly sold out its first eight weeks.

Pepsi Money Train Hits Tennyson, Supercharges Bao's Denver Debut
On a busy corner of Denver's Berkeley neighborhood, a small newcomer on Tennyson Street suddenly got big-time backing. Last fall, PepsiCo quietly moved in with cash and marketing muscle for Bao Tennyson, which had opened over the summer. The global company helped throw a launch party, subsidized menu tweaks, paid for marketing and, by its own account and local reporting, even pitched in on a patio expansion. For a corner spot still working to build regulars in a corridor packed with openings, that kind of support sped up its rise, and now other restaurateurs are watching to see if this brand-sized assist becomes a pattern across the city.
