Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Lanham, Driver Identified

LANHAM, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a pedestrian fatality that occurred on Sunday night in Lanham. The pedestrian’s name is withheld until the family is notified.

The incident took place on June 4, 2023, around 10:00 pm at the 9400 block of Lanham Severn Road. Initial investigations indicate that a driver struck the pedestrian in the roadway, resulting in the pedestrian’s death at the scene. The driver initially left the scene but was later identified when, approximately three hours after the collision, she approached searching officers and identified herself. The involved vehicle was subsequently located.
