A pedestrian died late Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle in Lanham, the Prince George's County Police Department said.

Officers responded to the 9400 block of Lanham Severn Road around 10 p.m. for the report of a pedestrian collision. Once on scene, they found a man in the roadway. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said the driver of the striking vehicle was not on the scene.
