North Carolina’s attorney general announced a new tool this week that will allow drivers to report gas stations they believe aren’t passing along savings from the gas tax pause. Jeff Jackson’s office will be looking for “clear outliers” using “publicly available gas price data,” and will investigate consumer reports. I asked whether the attorney general’s office will be announcing or reporting any gas stations that are found to be violating the law , which Gov. Josh Stein signed Oct. 9.
