Lancaster County judge orders mental competency hearing for Lincoln woman charged in double homicide
A Lancaster County judge has ordered a mental competency hearing for a 27-year-old woman charged in a Lincoln double homicide.
Taylor Bradley is accused of two counts of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder in relation to the death of 42-year-old Chris Karmazin and 45-year-old Ronald Gonzalez.
Lancaster County Judge Laurie Yardley ordered Bradley to undergo a psychiatric examination to determine her mental capacity, according to court documents.
The examination is scheduled to occur on April 3 at the Lancaster County Corrections.
Bradley allegedly struck Karmazin and Gonzalez with her vehicle Monday near The Lodge Apartments, located near South 48th Street and Old Cheney Road, according to authorities.
According to court documents, Bradley is accused of attempting to kill a third man — Robert Sargent — on Monday.
She's alleged to have "purposely located" the victims in a grassy area near the clubhouse at the apartment complex and hit both of them with her vehicle, according to authorities.
Bradley received a $2 million bond during an appearance in Lancaster County court Wednesday.
