NASHVILLE? LINSEY, THANK YOU. LAKE WORTH, MAN MEANWHILE, CHARGED WITH KILLING HIS WIFE WHO WAS SUFFERING FROM DEMENTIA. NOW PLEADING GUILTY. CALEB CALIFANO LIVE AT THE PALM BEACH COUNTY COURTHOUSE WITH THE LATEST UPDATES ON THIS CASE AND WHAT IT MEANS FOR THIS SUSPECT. AARON. WELL, STEVE, IN ACROSS WE DID ENTER A GUILTY PLEA THIS MORNING TO THE CHARGES OF A MAN SLAUGHTER BY ASSISTED SUICIDE WITH A FIREARM. THAT’S A FIRST DEGREE FELONY. THIS COULD GET HIM POSSIBLY UP TO 30 YEARS IN PRISON. THIS MORNING, CROSBY SPECIFICALLY ENTERED AN OPEN PLEA, MEANING BOTH THE PROSECUTION AND DEFENSE DIDN’T AGREE ON A SET SENTENCING. AND IT WILL BE UP TO A JUDGE ON A LATER DATE TO DECIDE. ORIGINALLY CHARGED ALSO WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER. THAT NOW IS OFF THE TABLE WITH THIS MORNING’S GUILTY PLEA. COURT DOCUMENTS SAY CROSBY CHECKED HIS WIFE, PAMELA CROSBY, OUT OF THE PARKSIDE ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY IN BOYNTON BEACH IN 2017, SHOT HER IN THE CHEST, THEN CALLED 911 TO REPORT HIS CRIME. CROSBY, WHO IS A RETIRED MARINE, WAS MARRIED TO HIS WIFE, PAMELA, FOR 40 YEARS BEFORE SHE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH EARLY ONSET ALZHEIMER’S AT 59. THE AFFIDAVIT SHOWS THE CRIME HAPPENED TWO YEARS LATER IN STATES ACROSS THESE WIFE TOLD HIM, QUOTE, I WANT YOU TO KILL ME. Stephen Kruspe, a retired marine from Lake Worth, entered a guilty plea to charges of manslaughter by assisted suicide with a firearm for killing his wife who was suffering from dementia.
