Man dies after being thrown from boat in Wilson County
MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man drowned in Old Hickory Lake after he fell overboard from a moving boat on Old Hickory Lake Sunday afternoon. Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) reports that 21-year-old Keaton Mills, of Lebanon, was ejected from a boat when the operator crossed a wake. The operator threw a cushion into the water and jumped in to assist in getting Mills out of the water, TWRA said.

In a heartfelt ceremony today, Vanderbilt Lifeflight presented the “Outstanding Performance Award” to several local heroes for their extraordinary actions in saving a man’s life last summer. The recognition comes after a critical incident on a Sunday in August 2023, when Greg Pilant, a resident of Gordonsville, went into cardiac arrest at Christ Community Church in Gordonsville.
Storms Causes Power Outages for Hundreds of Middle Tennesseans
Nearly 1,000 people are without power on the morning of Memorial Day following a storm that swept through middle Tennessee. Nashville Electric Service stated more than 5,000 customers were without electricity after Sunday night’s storm. That number has dropped to 1,000 Monday morning, with the biggest outage area being near the Nashboro neighborhood.
