LEWISTON, ID - A 49-year-old Lewiston man who was convicted of trafficking nearly two pounds of methamphetamine was sentenced today in Nez Perce County Second District Court. Judge Michelle Evans ordered that Nickolas Jacobson be held for 10 years before he is eligible for parole and he must pay a $25,000 fine. He was found guilty by a jury following a two-day trial in September.

The former police officer convicted of the murder of George Floyd, has been incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tuscon, Ariz. The FCI is a medium-security prison recently plagued with staff shortages and security lapses.
