Oxford woman charged with felony domestic assault
OXFORD – Oxford police had to use physical force Friday afternoon to detain a Lafayette County woman accused of domestic violence at a local business. Oxford police were called to the 1900 block of West Jackson Avenue on May 3 at 3:40 p.m. for a reported domestic violence call at a business. The victim managed to escape from a vehicle in the parking lot and ran inside of the business. The victim told employees that the female suspect pulled a gun and threatened to shoot them. At that point, an employee called 911 and gave a description of the suspect’s vehicle, while the victim hid inside the business.
