Police are investigating a break-in at a 7-Eleven in La Mesa and the theft of California Lottery scratch-off tickets after responding to a burglary alarm at the convenience store early Saturday morning.

OnSceneTV reports that the 7-Eleven located on University Avenue near 70th Street had a window on the front door smashed and several lottery tickets were scattered on the ground inside the store and outside along the street.

No suspects were found in the area, but police said the store’s surveillance footage showed two men believed to be in their 30s wearing black clothing and face masks. Police believe the suspects ran from the scene going north on 70th Street.
