GROW begins summer 'Open Gardens' program

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- Non-profit GROW is planting the seeds for its fourth summer of Open Gardens.

For the rest of the summer, GROW will host weekly Open Gardens at its partner school gardens.

It's a chance to explore the gardens and connect with nature, aligning with GROW's mission of engaging youth with healthy food and the outdoors through hands-on experiences.

The events are free and open to all.

Tuesday's Open Garden at Spence Elementary included a lesson on making pico de gallo.
