Damp night with more showers for Monday

WHAT WE ARE TRACKING: Damp conditions continue for Monday before a brief return to dry conditions on Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms are once again expected for the second half of the work week.

NEXT 24 HRS: Rain will become more showery overnight, with some dry periods. Temperatures will remain steady or rise into the 50s as the winds turn around to the south. Low cloud cover stays in place for most of Monday, with some showers possible, especially near the northeast of I-94. Temperatures remain in the 50s for most locations, with a few locations hitting 60 degrees. Low cloud cover begins to break up towards the evening hours. Cloud cover decreases Monday night, leading to clear skies by sunrise on Tuesday morning.

LOOKING AHEAD: Although dry and mild (70s) conditions return on Tuesday, be prepared for a series of systems that will impact the area Tuesday night through Saturday, resulting in periods of showers or thunderstorms. Despite this active pattern, there will be plenty of dry periods, especially on Wednesday. As of now, the severe risk looks low and to the south of the area, especially for the first system (Tuesday night). Be aware that high temperatures will be above average (70s) for the first half of the week before dropping near or below average (60s) for the second half. Expect below average temperatures to continue through the weekend before returning to a seasonable level ( 70s ) for the first part of the new work week.  More wet weather may come back for the tail of the weekend or the first part of the new work week.
