Through the assistance of InRoads Credit Union, the Columbia Pacific Food Bank in St. Helens has been presented with a donation of $2,176 to help with a growing need for food assistance in Columbia County. Julio Segura found guilty of murder in trial over death of Vancouver police officer

Serial Robbery Suspect Arrested
A suspected serial armed robber is in custody and facing numerous charges following his arrest during a Stolen Vehicle Operation. On the evening of Tuesday, May 21, 2024, officers with the Vancouver Police Department notified officers with the Portland Police Bureau of a wanted subject who was driving into Oregon. PPB officers, who were conducting a Stolen Vehicle Operation at the time, responded to assist. Officers located the wanted individual parking in a lot in the 2000 block of North Tomahawk Island Drive and walking into a business. Officers were able to evacuate the business and convince the man to exit. Officers took the man into custody without incident.
