Rastegar Property Company to break ground on mixed-use development in Kyle

It will include an elementary school, green space for city parks and trails, a Community Amenity Center, housing, retail and a restaurant.

KYLE, Texas — The City of Kyle is expanding, with a groundbreaking ceremony for a new mixed-use development scheduled for Friday afternoon.

Rastegar Property Company is behind this major development, which is 318 acres. It will include an elementary school, green space for city parks and trails, a Community Amenity Center, housing, retail and a restaurant.

"Futuristic suburbanism is the way people are changing how they live for psychological, sociological and technological reasons,” said Ari Rastegar, CEO of the Rastegar Property Company. “In this instance, it’s about bringing back community.”

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 700 Burton Lane on the east side of Kyle from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The groundbreaking will kick off the build out of Gristmill Road between Bunton Creek Reserve Development and Harvest Creek.

The build includes 11 acres for an elementary school, which will be included in a May bond election.

According to the company, the plan is to preserve as much "existing flora and fauna" as possible by leaving the land intact.

The groundbreaking ceremony will include music and food. You can learn more about Rastegar Property Company by visiting its website.
