(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A special night for dads and their daughters is returning to Colorado Springs. Kammie Fisher and her dad, David Fisher, have been attending “ A Daughter’s Journey ,” for nearly 20 years together. They joined FOX21 Morning News on Friday, Sept. 13, to talk about the upcoming event and how it’s helped them create lasting memories together.

“Life can get pretty busy so spending time with your daughter can kind of get pushed to the back burner. So we really created this event so you can have unplugged time to focus on your daughter and spend time with her,” said Kammie, who is also the Vice President of the board.

“It’s really easy to give your kids the leftover time on your calendar,” said David. “And there’s not a lot of leftover days so it’s a deliberate appointment and date.”

This year’s event is taking place on Saturday, January 18th at the Broadmoor. FOX21’s Abbie Burke is emceeing. Tickets are available at the website above.

I love this. There is just something so special when girls and their dads do quality time. I think both benefit from this. If Dad can't be there, a brother or uncle will due.
