EPSO investigates suspicious death south of Fountain

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — A body was found in Midway Estates, south of Fountain on Saturday, Sept. 14, and is being investigated as a suspicious death, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO).

EPSO reported that around 4 p.m. on Saturday, a call came in saying that a dead person was found in a field near the intersection of El Hambre View and Rancho Colorado Boulevard in unincorporated El Paso County. When deputies responded, they found the body of an adult male.

EPSO, along with the Metro Crime Lab, is processing the scene. This is an active investigation and the sheriff’s office will release more details as they are available. According to EPSO, no known threat exists to the public or surrounding neighborhoods.
